Wild continue their winning streak while Stars get hit by Lightning = 16th/17th November

Saturday 16th November
North Ayrshire Wild v Belfast Giants SNL at Auchenharvie ice rink, Stevenston.
North Ayrshire Wild went into this weekends game against the newly returned Belfast Giants on a high, following last weekends heroics against Paisley Pirates.
Wild got off to a slow start, in a cagey first period and went in 1-0 down at the first interval.
This was to be the last time Giants troubled the score-sheet as Gary Parker got Wild’s first goal 5 mins into the 2nd period.
After this, it was all Wild, and special teams played a big part, with the team scoring 1 short handed goal followed by 3 on the power play.  Wild’s more disciplined approach is starting to pay dividends, with the team only taking 2 minor penalties throughout the game.  All 3 lines were on the score-sheet, with 8 different players getting the goals, which proved very pleasing to the coaching team.
Final score: Wild 8 – 1 Giants. Man of the Match was Luke Kearsley.
Next home game is 7th December v Dundee Comets at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre,  Stevenston. Face Off: 6.30pm.
Everyone is Welcome!
Sunday 17th November.
North Ayrshire Stars v Lanarkshire Lightning U14’s at Time Capsule,  Coatbridge.
Early morning road trip to Coatbridge for our Stars. They worked hard, showed some great team play but it wasn’t too be. The score line really doesn’t reflect how great this game was.
Final score: Stars 3 – 11 Lightning.
Goals from; Kerr Drummond, Flynn Massie & Liam Houston.  Man of the Match: Liam Houston.
